Admissions

Joining our School

We are delighted that you are considering our school for your child. Every child is unique and we understand the importance of you choosing the school that feels right for your child and you. Although reports such as Ofsted reports are a useful starting point, the only way to truly know if our school is right for you is to visit, only then will you see that we are a ‘Grove Street family’, our classrooms are calm and homely reflecting our therapeutic and inclusive approach. Although our school is a popular choice we restrict class sizes to ensure that children benefit from a nurturing small class with opportunities for personalised learning.

If you would like to book a visit to meet myself, senior leaders and to see the school in action, please contact [email protected] or telephone 0151 645 2170.

We look forward to meeting you and your child soon.

Ofsted October 2022- graded Good in all areas

“Pupils thoroughly enjoy attending this caring and harmonious school. Staff make sure that pupils are happy and safe. Adults forge strong relationships with pupils.Pupils were keen to tell inspectors that the school’s teachers were one of the best features of their school.”

“Leaders have developed an ambitious curriculum which begins right from the moment that children enter the early years.”

“Leaders and teachers live and breathe reading.”

“Pupils begin to learn sounds at the earliest opportunity. In the Nursery class, children learn initial sounds. This enables them to get off to a flying start with the phonics programme in the Reception Class. Children in early years enjoy learning different songs, nursery rhymes and poems. Pupils and children enjoy ‘Magic Storybox’ time. This helps the youngest children to foster a love of reading and the acquisition of language and vocabulary.”

“Through the careful identification of their needs, staff make sure that pupils with SEND receive the help that they need so they can access the full curriculum. Leaders work with external agencies effectively to support pupils with SEND.”
