Our Mental Health Support Team support us to meet the mental health needs of our children by:

Delivering brief evidence-based interventions to support children and young people with mild-moderate mental health difficulties

Supporting us to develop our whole school approach to mental health

Providing timely advice to school staff and liaison with external services, to help children and young people to get the right help and stay in education

Our wonderful Education Mental Health Practitioner is Lesley Forber.

Lesley offers:

1) 1:1 low intensity, evidence-based interventions for children and young people (age 8+)
presenting with:

 Mild to moderate anxiety/avoidance, including simple phobias and separation
anxiety.
 Mild to moderate low mood and depression.

2) 1:1 Parent-led intervention for children with mental health related challenging behaviour or
mild anxiety (5-11yrs).


3) Groups offering psychoeducation for mental health/emotional wellbeing difficulties for
staff, parents/carers and/or children and young people.


4) Support for school around the development of our whole school approach (WSA) to
mental health and wellbeing.
